Shadow patterns show up in the places we feel stuck, reactive, shut down, or caught in emotional loops.Ā

They can shape how we relate, protect ourselves, make decisions, and hold tension in the body.

This workshop offers a supported space to gently meet these patterns, not as problems to fix, but as parts of you that have carried protection, pain, and wisdom.

Through guided shadow work and somatic practice, you will be invited to notice what has been hidden, soften what is ready to shift, and build a more compassionate relationship with yourself.

Who this workshop is for

You do not need prior experience with shadow work or somatic practice. You only need a willingness to be present, curious, and respectful of your own pace.

Inner parts exploration

Shadow work and curiosity toward the parts of you that have been hidden, rejected, or over-controlled.

Somatic healing

Nervous system awareness, the body as part of the healing process, and grounded tools for self-regulation.

Emotional patterns

Understanding recurring loops, working with triggers in a grounded way, and building more self-compassion and clarity.

What you’ll explore during the day

During the day, you will be guided through practices designed to help you recognise patterns, stay present with discomfort, and meet hidden or rejected parts of yourself with compassion.

  • Recognise shadow patterns as protective adaptations
  • Notice where emotional patterns live in the body
  • Work with triggers without forcing a breakthrough
  • Build capacity to stay present with discomfort
  • Explore the difference between insight and embodied integration
  • Meet hidden or rejected parts of yourself with compassion
  • Leave with practical tools you can continue using after the workshop

What shadow work means here

Shadow work is the practice of meeting the parts of ourselves we have learned to hide, reject, suppress, or over-control.

These parts may carry shame, anger, grief, fear, desire, sensitivity, or unmet needs.

In this workshop, shadow work is approached through a trauma-aware lens. That means we move with care, choice, consent, and attention to the nervous system.

You will be supported to explore at a pace that feels workable for you.

A somatic approach

Your body often knows the pattern before your mind can explain it.

Somatic practice helps you notice sensation, impulse, tension, breath, and emotional activation as part of the process.

Rather than analysing yourself from the outside, you will be invited to gently listen from within.

This can help create more space between a trigger and your response, and more compassion for the parts of you that have been trying to protect you.

What you’ll leave with

By the end of the workshop, you can expect to leave with:

  • A clearer understanding of your own shadow patterns
  • More awareness of how those patterns show up in your body and relationships
  • Simple somatic tools for grounding and self-regulation
  • A more compassionate way to relate to protective parts of yourself
  • Language and practices to continue your integration after the day

This work is not about becoming a different person. It is about meeting more of who you are with honesty, care, and choice.
