Your body is a pathway into profound healing.
Â
In every moment, you are having 'felt sense' responses to life.Â
You know that - when you witness an incredible sunset, when you feel 'heartbroken', when you feel so down and heavy, when you feel uptight and anxious, or when you feel relaxed and spacious.
Your body is the expression of your experience of life. And, it is the pathway through which we can access the very difficult experiences, safely, and release them, rewire your brain and nervous system, interrupt the cycle of unhelpful behvaiours and enable your thoughts to find new ways of 'seeing' the world.Â
Â
Somatic Therapy with me is a 'whole person' approach: I work with both top-down (thought to felt sense) and bottom-up (felt sense to thought) processing of the patterns that keep you from living the life you desire.
Â
Let's start the healing together.
Let's go deeper.
How does Somatic Therapy work?
Somatics has become a popular term to use for many amazing approaches to working with the body, so I thought it timely to define how I work, as it could be quite different to another somatic practitioner.
I call myself a Somatic Healer & Psychotherapist because I work with your physical body AND your thoughts, emotions, subconscious, belief systems and subtle bodies.
I track how emotional, mental, physical and subtle energy traumas have affected you and then work with you to heal them.
I work with a variety of clients who find they are struggling with different aspects of the manifestation of trauma.
For some, it is in their relationships.
For some, in their sense of belonging in the world
For some, their bodies are experiencing dis-ease in many different ways.
For some, it is more about their mental health.
For some, it is about their ability to choose themselvesâŚ
...and many others.
I am trained as a psychotherapist, a somatic healer, an integrated trauma healing therapist, a neuroaffecive touch practitioner (current), a senior yoga teacher, an advanced meditation teacher. I use the combination of my skills to wholeheartedly understand your experience of the world and work with you to undo the patterns that create disharmony in your life.
We work together to connect, release, realign and rewire.
Feedback I often get after sessions working on specific energy pathways related to triggers is:
âOh my gosh, Liz, I was in that situation that normally triggers me like crazy and I had NO reaction to it this time!â and 'I just feel differently now - and as a result I am making healthier choices for myself' and 'I actually like myself now'. These are but some of the outcomes of working with me.
I also have people seek me out to help them with illnesses, disease and chronic pain.
Â
My work is very gentle, subtle and supportive, it needs to be, as healing only happens within safety.

Book a Session
In-Person or Zoom Somatic Therapy
Current Clients: If you are a current in person Somatic Therapy client, please use the calendars below (either in person or Zoom) to book sessions that suit you. If you are unable to find sessions, please contact [email protected] for support in setting up appointments / being on the cancellation list.
New Clients (In-Person Sessions): I offer both in-person and Zoom sessions. Please book under the New Client heading for either in-person or zoom appointments. The payment for new client intake
sessions is $330AUD and this is required as an upfront payment when you book your session (ongoing sessions are $280AUD per session and can be paid in session as you go). Sessions go for at least 90 minutes and include extensive intake and follow up information/support.
Session Time & Costs
Sessions run for between 90 and 100 minutes. They include intensive somatic work coupled with psychotherapy. Pricing is varied (see below), and concessions are available. My pricing reflects the fact that my sessions are up to twice the length of traditional psychotherapy sessions and the intensity of the work means that I can only see a limited number of clients at any given time.
Intake sessions: $330 per session
If you are brand new, there is an intake form to fill out, and during your first session, we can talk about your goals and, after the somatic work, how you'd like to proceed. Then I can map out a plan for you.
Subsequent sessions: $280 per session
If you plan to work with me intensively for a period of time, usually this is between 6 and 12 sessions. I offer discounts on upfront payments for your sessions.
Concessions: If you need a concession rate, please contact me at [email protected]. I know what it is like to feel challenged financially and I believe everyone deserves to be able to access the healing they are seeking. However, I operate in the same economic climate as everyone else and to offer you a concession means I reduce my income, which I am prepared to do for those in need but please only ask if you are committed to the work and you could not do it without a concession. A price effective alternative is that you work with me in my online Somatic Healing Space Membership, which is either $59AUD per month or $99AUD per month, depending on the Tier of support you choose.

She was also a senior yoga teacher who trained student teachers in trauma yoga and teaching methodology. Liz's passion for somatic work was born out of her own trauma at the hands of a well-known religious institution when she was a young girl. Liz found, after battling addiction, eating disorders, a fragmented sense of self, self-harm, a stint in a psychiatric ward and endless years of talk therapy, that the only thing that really helped her heal was somatic work.
Lizâs supervisor is a clinical psychologist and the Teaching Assistant for The NeuroAffective Touch⢠Institute, Inc in Los Angeles.
