I spent years trying to fix myself.
What actually changed everything was something completely different.

Your body holds everything you've lived through

Not just what you remember… but what you felt, adapted to, and learned in order to stay connected to others and safe in your environment...and over time that shapes how you see and move through your life.


(Pssst: your brain and nervous system are part of your body, as are your emotions, your reactions...)

You will literally adjust yourself to suit what your environment tells you is acceptable. And that's when your authenticity feels unsafe, a threat to your survival, something that disconnects you from others.

You might notice the same patterns repeating.
The same challenges.
The same dynamics in relationships.

You might feel overwhelmed by the world around you… or exhausted from trying to hold it all together.

Because your system has learned that parts of you aren’t safe to fully be present, alive, honest, authentic.

This work is not about fixing yourself. It’s about learning how to feel safe being...YOU: all of you.

The calm and the reactive. The open and the guarded. The certain and the unsure. The soft and the tough. The desires and the needs. 

Because when you begin to feel safe to be yourself, your body naturally responds to life differently… you stop fighting yourself; you stop trying to override what you feel, you can set boundaries with ease, you naturally want to care for yourself and you start living with more steadiness, clarity, and self-trust.

You don’t need to become someone new. You need to feel safe being who you already are.

My therapeutic approach: 

Most people come to this work trying to fix themselves. They know the theory, the diets, the regimes, 1001 regulation tools. They are desperate to... feel better, stop reacting...and finally “get it right”.

Real change doesn’t come from trying to control yourself or manage your patterns.
It comes when you feel safe enough to be you… and your body no longer needs to protect you in the same ways..

About Me

Why I do what I do… and how I know what I know

I didn’t come to this work through theory; I came to it because I needed it.

For years, I struggled with addiction, eating disorders, self-harm, and a deep sense of fragmentation within myself.

I spent time in a psychiatric ward. I did years of talk therapy. And while parts of it helped… something was still missing.

It wasn’t until I began working with my body that things started to change. I finally had a way to work with what I was experiencing in real time… instead of trying to manage it, change it, override it, fix it.

I could finally arrive in the here and now… and see that all the patterns, all the strategies, even the self-harm, were ways I had learned to avoid myself.

And when I stopped fighting that… and began to feel safe turning towards myself, everything changed.

That’s what led me here.

Over the years, I’ve trained across counselling, trauma therapy, yoga, and somatic practices.

I hold a Master of Counselling (with a focus on trauma and addiction), and have worked across a range of settings, including youth and family counselling, early intervention, homelessness services, and drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

I’ve also trained yoga teachers in trauma-informed practice, and continue to deepen my work through advanced somatic training.

My approach is grounded in both lived experience and professional training.

Because of that, I don’t teach this work from theory alone.

I teach it from having lived it.

And from working with thousands of clients who are navigating the same patterns, reactions, and struggles you might be experiencing now.
